Top 5 Promotional Products that make big impacts

1.  Technology Products.  If your target market is young professionals look at technology products.  Maybe it’s a protective sleeve for a IPad or Kindle.  It could be a protective skin for their IPhone or smartphone.  Think what’s hot in the retail market and figure out a way to incorporate that in your promotion.

2.  Screen printed T-shirts.  Yep that’s right we love T-shirts.  We have retail experience and understand what is popular at the retail level.  We work with clients to make sure their T-shirt designs could hold their own in a retail environment even if they are being used as giveaways.   A blank T-shirt give’s you a ton of real estate to work with unlike other promotional products that have limited imprint areas and locations.

3.  Compressed T-shirts.  Same benefits as above but with the option of compressing the shirt into 100′s of different shapes.  Whatever your industry is there’s a good chance that there is an existing shape that works.  If not we can do a custom mold.  One of our past projects includes a compressed T-shirt in the shape of a baseball bat.  This was a gift with purchase for a video game company promoting their MLB video game .  It’s safe to say this promotion was a big hit.

4.  Digital Rewards.  We love digital rewards and technology.  Digital rewards can include music downloads, movie tickets, photo prints, and more.  We highly recommend directing client’s to a custom landing page prior to receiving their music downloads.  It’s a great time to capture information and build your customer/marketing list.

5.  Reusable Grocery bag.  I don’t live in California but I agree those plastic grocery bags should be banned!  They are horrible on the environment and it’s a great way to make an impact on your event that is guaranteed to be used for years to come.  They are great walking billboards with large imprint areas.  How cool is the EcoSmart totes that is made from recycled paper?

Impressions and impact of promotional products

We get asked everyday “How effective are promotional items” or “What is the ROI for promotional items”?  While both are great questions it is very difficult to quantify a traditional ROI for promotional items.  Whether they are used externally to build a brand, image, promote a new product or used internally for branding, education or recognition traditionally promotional products are not trackable.  Since the item is not trackable we have no hard data to share or fully understand what the ROI was on a promotional item.

51% Recycled Cinch bag

Fast Fact:  Bags leave the most impressions and have the lowest cost per Impression for any promotional product in 2010!

So, how do we answer and assist our customers – one word:  IMPRESSIONS!  A promotional item, when well thought out, useful, attractive and targeted to a specific group makes or leaves impressions.  Every impression or the number of impressions helps in building that strong brand preference and the identity provides added value which is embodied in the brand name.  At Y-not Promotions we understand what products make the most impressions, therefore, we can think outside the box for the right product, at the right price and that will give you the most visibility – the most IMPRESSIONS!  This we promise will give you the highest ROI!

Cutter & Buck Parallel Roller Ball

Fast Fact:  Writing Instruments are the most frequently used promotional product in the U.S.

So, accounting for ROI – somewhat a “build it and they will come” business.  However, when a promotional company like Y-not Promotions is allowed access to the larger plan and can partner with companies we can certainly work smart to find those items that have the highest probability of success to building that image or that new brand.

Bamboo clothing

Bamboo is being used for a variety of products.  It’s an extremely durable product that is the fastest growing plant on earth.  Did you know that it can grow at least 18 inches overnight and can reach a height of 100 feet?

You name it and there’s a pretty good chance that it could be made from bamboo.  In the promotional industry there are 100′s of promotional products made from bamboo.  One of my favorites has always been clothing.  By now I think most people know that the raw material bamboo is extremely earth friendly but it’s also important to understand what needs to be done to this product to make it a finished good….sometimes this process may not be earth friendly.

Some people jump on the bandwagon to sell what’s “hot” so as a buyer ask questions and deal with reputable companies that are educated and can help you make good informed decisions regarding your next green promotion.
